Rod’s Approach to Therapy

Being in therapy can be a difficult and draining process. But people come to therapy for understanding, for validation and most importantly for healing. People need therapy in order to deal with a loss, with depression, with anxiety and for other reasons. Couples experiencing difficulty in their relationship seek therapy to better understand each other and to try to heal any hurts that are burdening their relationship. Learning to communicate effectively is key in any relationship and especially in a couples relationship that is struggling. Rod is very comfortable with a faith-based approach to therapy if and only if the client wants that to be a part of the session.

Areas of specialty include

  • Couples counseling
  • Bereavement
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Parent-child relationship problems
